Private van vs. the shared shuttle
A shared shuttle looks cheaper on the booking page and usually is not, once you count what it costs you. Shared vehicles leave when they are full, so the clock starts when your flight lands and stops whenever the last passenger on the manifest clears customs — that can be forty minutes standing at a curb after an eight-hour travel day. Then the vehicle runs a route, and your hotel might be the first stop or the sixth. You find out which once you are already moving. A private van leaves when you get in and drives to your hotel and nowhere else. For two people the shared price may genuinely win. For a family of four or more, the flat rate splits far enough that the private van often costs the same or less — and it costs the same whether the flight lands early or three hours late.
